Chapter 23 Ann, daughter of Richard and Susannah

Ann (V) was born in Ford and baptised in Temple Guiting in 1815. In 1836 in Temple Guiting and following banns she married John Pope from Wolford, Oxfordshire. After marriage she moved with her husband to Haseley, a village near Warwick, where she was apparently working as a schoolmistress in 1841, and John an Agricultural Labourer. By 1845 they had moved to the nearby village of Shrewley, John still working as a labourer. They were back in Haseley in 1871.

Ann's death was registered in Warwick in 1876. She was 61. John outlived her by 22 years, remained in the Haseley/Shrewely area; his death was registered in Warwick in 1898 at the age of 85.

There were probably nine children, the first boy being christened John Fardon Pope.
